Welcome to Stanedge Grange Butchery, what an exciting first 5 years we have had. Our Master Butcher Michael Shirt, who has over 45 years experience in the industry continues to show us his skills, passion and innovation for the job. This shows through from the competition accolades that Stanedge continue to win, so far to date this little gem of a foodie haven has won 50 gold awards, 33 silver awards and 7 bronze awards along with these we have been crowned:

2016 competitions finished on a high at the English Winter Fair as we took supreme champion out of 200 products with the "Pork Pie".

The Great Taste Awards also netted prizes for our dry cured bacon and black pudding.

Due to the high demand what we cannot produce on the farm is locally sourced. Freezer box lambs are available when in season, along with herb-fed free range chickens and bronze turkeys at Christmas.

More exciting news is that Mary's son James joins the business this year after his GCSEs, embarking on his Trailblazers Butchery Appreticeship. James already has experience in the shop, he is very keen to learn and will continue to develop his skills under the watchful and experienced eye of Michael and be part of the business.
